Cameroon’s women’s national team held its first training session on Moroccan soil.
The players and coaching staff of the Cameroonian squad have been in Morocco since 15 July 2026. The Cameroonian women’s team is based in Casablanca, where it will play its group stage matches in the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place from 25 July to 16 August.
The day after arriving at their training camp, the Indomitable Lionesses got back to work as they await the start of the tournament. 26 players are present at the camp in Casablanca.
Cameroon are in Group D alongside Mali, Ghana and Cape Verde.

The coaching staff faces critical decisions over the coming days, as three players will be cut before the federation submits its definitive 23-player squad registration list to CAF.
The camp atmosphere reflects intense professional hunger, particularly after the Lionesses received an unexpected second lease on life. Having been narrowly eliminated during the initial qualification rounds, Cameroon was handed a wildcard reprieve when the Confederation of African Football (CAF) expanded the final tournament format from 12 to 16 teams, automatically qualifying the four highest-ranked eliminated FIFA sides.
