From Pain to Pride
Two years ago, Yvan Kenmoe saw his dream slip away. The U20 Lions coach missed out on qualifying for the Africa Cup of Nations. As Editor, I watched that heartbreak closely. It could have broken a lesser coach. Instead, Kenmoe chose resilience.
Turning the Tide
“A disappointment that could have left its mark,” Kenmoe admitted. Yet, the Cameroonian public never lost faith in him. After massive preparation, he turned that pain into immense pride. The Lions won the UNIFFAC trophy on home soil. They defeated the Central African Republic 1-0. This victory punched their ticket to the upcoming U20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Tears of Gratitude
“Words are almost lost,” Kenmoe said emotionally. He expressed his deepest thanks with a joyful heart. He thanked the fans for their unwavering love. They believed in the team when the path was incredibly difficult.
High Praise for Eto’o
Kenmoe also singled out the football federation leadership. He extended deep gratitude to Mr. Samuel Eto’o. The FECAFOOT president renewed his trust in the coach over the years. This precious support strengthens Kenmoe’s determination to serve his nation.
Ultimate Lesson in Resilience
“This victory is much more than a trophy,” Kenmoe concluded. It is a story of national pride. Today, he savors an objective achieved. Long live the U20 Lions! Long live Cameroon!
