Bansoa SA Filles and Hemlè de Botko Filles have officially secured historic promotions to Cameroon’s top-flight Guinness Super League for the 2026/2027 season

The monumental structural promotion was finalized following the high-stakes semi-final matches of the National Interpools tournament, which concluded on July 26, 2026, at the Stade Omnisports Annexe in Yaoundé.

Semi-Final Clashes and Outcomes

The qualification tournament brought regional champions together in a knockout filter. Both sides delivered highly focused tactical performances to punch their tickets into the elite division:

  • Bansoa SA Filles (West Region): Overcame a resilient challenge from Lionnes du Sahel de Garoua, cruising to a commanding 3–1 victory. Under the guidance of coach Doceline Djounang, this victory marks a historic milestone, breaking a long-standing drought of West Region representation in the top tier.
  • Hemlè de Botko Filles (Littoral Region): Secured their promotion through defensive stability, edging past AS Nesosi de Messassi with a tight 1–0 clean sheet.

Preparation for the 2026/2027 Season

With their primary tactical objective accomplished, both newly promoted teams are moving to the final stage of the lower division. They will soon lock horns in the ceremonial final match to determine the honorary Champion of the Cameroonian Women’s Second Division. Following the celebrations, both managements will turn their attention to structural recruitment and squad upgrades required to navigate the grueling competitive demands of the elite Guinness Super League.
