
Midfield Engine Overhaul
Domestic heavyweights Canon Sportif de Yaoundé have officially launched their summer recruitment drive, unveiling a first wave of four signings ahead of the 2026/2027 MTN Élite One season. Club management moved aggressively to restructure their central options, securing three high-profile midfield talents and a new defensive anchor.
The New Recruits
- Stéphane Noah (19): A highly technical young midfielder arriving from PWD Bamenda to provide youth and vitality.
- Yann Mpito (20): The tactical midfielder returns home to the Kpa-Kum following a one-season stint at Fauve Azur.
- Junior Nguimbat (24): An experienced midfielder also signed from PWD Bamenda, where he registered an impressive six goals and four assists last season.
- Ndanga André (24): A commanding goalkeeper signed on a two-year contract from lower-tier side US d’Abong-Mbang to shore up the goal line.

The quadruple swoop signals clear intentions from the Yaoundé giants to challenge for domestic silverware in the upcoming campaign.
