New Kuwaiti Chapter Finalized
Cameroonian international forward Emmanuel Mahop has officially signed a permanent agreement with Kuwaiti second-division club Khaitan SC. The 31-year-old clinical striker has put pen to paper on a one-season contract to boost the team’s offensive ranks for the current campaign.

Move from the Syrian League
- The Origin: Mahop arrived in Kuwait after spending last season in Syria with Al Ittihad of Aleppo (Al-Ahli SC).
- The Syrian Record: The experienced marksman enjoyed a prolific run in Damascus, finishing the year as the top scorer of the Syrian first division.
- The Promotion Goal: The Kuwaiti club moved aggressively to lock in his services, offering performance bonuses structured directly around achieving promotion to the top-flight Zain Kuwaiti Premier League.
Pedigree of a Domestic Champion
The transfer represents another major step in the journeyman career of the former 2023 Cameroonian Ballon d’Or winner. Mahop, who previously dominated the domestic scene with Canon Sportif de Yaoundé, where he secured the MTN Élite One top scorer title, brings a unique blend of physical power, aerial dominance, and international experience to Khaitan SC’s frontline.
