Cameroonian football tactician Laurent Djam has officially launched a new international chapter, signing a one-season contract with Djiboutian top-flight champions AS Port-DMP. The experienced coach leaves his homeland after a high-profile spell in the domestic top tier.
Departing Unisport du Haut-Nkam
- The Previous Stint: Djam previously served as the head coach of Unisport du Haut-Nkam (Bafang) in the MTN Élite One.
- The Record: He guided the Flambeau de l’Ouest to an impressive third-place finish and won the first-half phase title during the rigorous 2025/2026 domestic campaign.
- The Rich Pedigree: Before his exploits with Unisport, Djam established himself as one of Cameroon’s prominent domestic coaches, having previously managed top clubs like Bamboutos FC, UMS de Loum, Léopard de Douala, and Aigle du Moungo.
Immediate Continental Challenge
The Cameroonian manager has no time to rest. Djam has immediately traveled to Cairo, Egypt, where the AS Port squad is based, to prepare for a daunting first-leg clash in the preliminary rounds of the CAF Champions League against Egyptian giants Zamalek SC.
