Historic Academy Milestone
Highly rated English-Cameroonian midfielder Tristan Achu has made club history by becoming the very first recipient of the newly introduced NBe Brokers – Outstanding Academy Achievement Award for the 2026/27 season. The 17-year-old starlet was officially presented with the accolade by Stoke City FC management to recognize his exceptional development and performance across the ranks.
Rapid Rise at the Bet365 Stadium
- The Profile: The tactical central midfielder, who originally developed through the Manchester City youth academy, is widely regarded as one of the brightest talents in the Potters’ system.
- The Progression: After starting his formal scholarship last year, his stellar U18 performances earned him a rapid mid-season promotion to the U21 squad for the final stretch of the Premier League 2 campaign.
- The Professional Turn: His robust resilience and tactical maturity were rewarded in July 2026, when he signed his first multi-year professional contract with the Championship club.
Bright Future for Club and Country
The individual accolade highlights Stoke City’s long-term commitment to nurturing elite youth prospects. Having already earned youth international recognition with England’s U14 and U15 selections, Achu’s multi-national Cameroonian heritage makes his rapid progression a major point of interest for both federations as he pushes toward a senior first-team breakthrough.
